Our Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) are the backbone of our hospital. They are well-educated and have experience in their field. An RVT is a graduate from a two-year, American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) accredited program from a community college, college or university. They are also required to pass a state mandated credentialing exam. Passing this exam ensures the public that the veterinary technician has knowledge of the duties they are asked to perform in the veterinary clinic or hospital. RVTs are required each year to take additional classes in order to stay on top of current medical practices and techniques.
